At Utrailer, we strive to make your rental experience as smooth and hassle-free as possible. We understand that plans can change, and we want to provide flexibility while ensuring fairness to both trailer owners and renters. Please review our cancellation policy below:

Cancellation by Renters:

1. Free Cancellation - You may cancel your rental for free up to 72 hours before your scheduled pickup or delivery time. Any payments made will be fully refunded.
2. Cancellation within 24 Hours - If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled pickup or delivery time, you will be charged a fee of either $25 or 25% of your rental cost, whichever is higher, as a cancellation fee. This fee covers administrative costs, and the time allocated for your reservation.
3. No-Show or Late Cancellations - If you do not show up for your scheduled pickup or delivery time and do not notify us at least 2 hours in advance, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee of the total rental cost.
4. Changing Rental Dates - If you need to change the rental date after booking, please contact the owner as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your new dates. If the new rental period differs in price or availability, you may be subject to additional fees or price adjustments.

Cancellation by Trailer/Dumpster Owners:

1. Owner Cancellations - If a trailer/dumpster owner needs to cancel a booking, they must notify the renter as soon as possible. In these cases, Utrailer or the owner will assist in finding an alternative trailer/dumpster for the renter or offer a full refund if no alternative is available.
2. Late Owner Cancellations - Owners are encouraged to avoid canceling rentals at the last minute. If an owner cancels less than 24 hours before a scheduled rental, Utrailer may penalize the owner with a fee and/or restrict future rentals until the issue is resolved.

Refunds:

• Refunds will be processed to the original payment method and may take 3-5 business days to appear in your account.
• If you experience any issues with your rental (e.g., the trailer or dumpster is not available as promised), please contact us immediately. We will work to resolve the issue and, if necessary, offer a refund or replacement.

Force Majeure:

In cases of extreme weather, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control that prevent a rental from being completed, we will work with both renters and owners to provide alternatives. If an alternative cannot be found, a full refund will be issued.
